We are seeking a volunteer group to host an ice cream party for the kids in our shelter. The group does the planning, executing, supervising, clean up--it's your event!!!
This ice cream party will help the kids in our homeless shelters have a bit of a break from the hardships of life and let them celebrate a bit of the summer fun--and who doesn't want to celebrate when school's out for the summer?
Volunteers will do the following:
- Planning, hosting, and supervising the party
- Decorating the space
- Preparing and serving the treats
- Set-up, break-down, and clean-up
Volunteers will be given a brief orientation when they arrive. Volunteers should be at least 16 years old. If you are interested in bringing a group to help with this project, please contact Grace Scarella, Volunteer Coordinator, at gscarella@ywcaworks.org.
We would like a group of 5-10 volunteers on June 25th. However, we are flexible with the number of volunteers and event date. We want to help you help us make this happen for our families!
