Assist your community through the rewarding experience of helping others improve their bone health andfracture risk knowledge.
Details: Our 3rd Annual Freedom from Fractures National Awareness Screening Day takes place on July 11th from 10am - 2pm at Residences at Chestnut Ridge Personal Care and Independent Living Community.
This facility will have 4-6 volunteers inputting data from the simple fracture risk screening tool on participants over the age of 45. Training videos will be provided online. Medical background is not required, but preferred.
Why you should help: 44 million American men and women are affected by osteoporosis and low bone mass. With your help we can facilitate a culture of knowledge and risk prevention.
Come join us on the 11th and help keep Pennsylvanian bones strong.

The mission of American Bone Health is to mobilize communities with timely bone health information that supports strong and healthy bones and prevents osteoporosis and fractures. American Bone Health builds capacity for local community outreach through programs and public awareness campaigns. We engage public advocates for osteoporosis prevention, detection and treatment.

As a non-profit resource center, we are dedicated to preventing osteoporosis through research and education of the public and medical community to increase awareness of risk, prevention and treatment. Our education programs include lectures which you may discover in the website.
