Join our growing program and become a group respite volunteer! Family Caregiver Connection seeks caring, patient, and dependable volunteers interested in working with seniors. Make a meaningful contribution to a senior and their caregiver by providing fellowship, activities and socialization to family members who are experiencing long-term illness while allowing caregivers to benefit from support groups, education or several hours of respite. There are several group respite locations to choose from. Time commitment is flexible and averages 6-12 hours per month.
You will volunteer in a group setting at your choice of a number of churches in Anoka County. Locations include Coon Rapids, Anoka and Linwood.
Calling all crafters: Are you crafty? Like planning fun activities? Making projects? The Gathering sites may be a perfect fit for you! Each site has a volunteer or two who plan fun activities that seniors can do while attending the group. If you are creative, we would love to hear from you!
Lunch Ladies (and Men) needed. The Gathering is looking for folks to prepare and deliver nutritious noon time meals to Gathering locations. Food is prepared for 8-20 people depending on location. Please call for more details.
