Volunteers are needed to help Blood Assurance at the Chattanooga Market on Sundays. Blood Assurance has a booth at the market to help educate the public about the importance of blood donation to the community. Volunteers would work with Blood Assurance team members to recruit blood donors. Two shifts are available: 10:30 to 1:30 or 1:30 to 4:30. Or you can work the entire shift. Blood Assurance is a non-profit regional blood center. Our mission is to provide a safe and adequate supply of blood and blood components, in a cost effective manner, to every area patient in need. 74 healthcare facilities in 51 counties are helped by Blood Assurance donors. Over 540 blood donors are needed every day in order to adequately supply all the hospitals served by Blood Assurance.
