ORGANIZATION: Council for Educational Travel USA

Council for Educational Travel, USA (CETUSA) is seeking host familiesin Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, Phoenix, Apache Junction, Marana, and Oro Valley areas to open doors to their homes, their communities, and their hearts for international high school exchange students. Exchange students from Europe, South America, and Asia are being placed in volunteer host families for a semester or an academic year. Join the CETUSA family and step out into world like Coolidge resident, host parent and CETUSA coordinator Gary Gudgeon: "I enjoy seeing the students grow and become better people. I also like learning about other countries through the students. As a coordinator, it is satisfying to see how well the students have adapted to living here in America. I also enjoy helping the students to get through tough spots, and to do better. It allows me to have a personal impact."

CETUSA exchange students carry their own insurance and bring their own spending money. Mr. Gudgeon makes the arrangements for their high school acceptance and will provide ongoing support to the students and the families throughout their program. The students hope to be treated as one of the household and want to live the life "of a typical American teenager". The host families are asked to provide a bed in either a shared or private bedroom, a place for the student to study, three meals a day, and a welcoming home environment. This is a great opportunity to share what you love about your community and the United States while also learning about a new culture and a new person.

Begin the journey by emailing Gary at gooseggud@aol.com or highschool@cetusa.org, calling 888-238-8721, or by visiting our website www.cetusa.org. CETUSA works with families with children, couples, empty nesters, or single households. Open your heart and your home to begin your international adventure today!
