On Saturday, May 30 th, we are looking for volunteers to assist in collecting cereal and cash donations at the Cobo Center and Ren Cen Grand Prix shuttle stop. It is going to be advertised as part of the Children’s Hospital Cereal Drive that collected 600,000 servings of cereal last year. 2 volunteers are needed at each shuttle stop from 10am-2pm. We are working on getting parking passes for volunteers. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.

For more than 40 years, Gleaners Community Food Bank has been "feeding hungry people and nourishing our communities." Last year, Gleaners distributed 42 million pounds of emergency food to 499 partner soup kitchens, shelters and pantries in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston, and Monroe counties.
Of every dollar donated, Gleaners uses 97 cents for food and food programs. One dollar provides three meals for a hungry neighbor.
