One of the most important volunteer jobs we have here at The Food Connection is our data entry position. It is the first point of contact our guests have with our program. It takes a lot for some people to even go through the front doors. They feel embarrassed, or scared so it's important that they are greeted by a smiling face. We like people to feel comfortable when they come here, there shouldn't be any shame in feeding your family! The program we use is fairly easy to learn, and if you can hunt and peck the keyboard (typing skills are helpful) you meet the criteria. If you like to meet a wide variety of interesting people and have some typing skills this might just be the volunteer spot for you! Description
The St. Leo Food Connection has been fighting hunger since 1982. Since then, we have grown into one of the largest emergency food providers in Pierce County. In 2015, with all three of our programs, we served over 1.6 million meals. We could not do our work without the many, many hands donating their time and love to make it all possible.
