We are building our first community garden for the backyard gardeners living close to our Church. Our initial Family Gardens will have 64 garden plots, each 4' x 8' with an inclsed fence in our 3-acre Holton Eco-Preserve on our 12-acre Church campus.
Our mission is to teach people to steward our earth through experiences, classes and events which promote sustainable lifestyles and enhance the native habitat of our community.
From early in July through early September (this summer 2015) we will be welcoming voilunteers from various groups to help us build the 64 raised plots. Come out and join the goodwill of our community and help us make our September 1st deadline.
Any volunteer who contributes over 10 hours of time will get a free membership to the Holton Eco-Preserve Center where they can take gardening classes and programs throughout the year at a member-discounted price. If you are interested in gardening in our Family Gardens, we can make plots available to you at a discount, as well.
