No Ball of String Too Big!
We need you to help save lives, one cat at a time.

Do you love cats! So do we! That is why we "do what we do" at Feline Freedom Coalition! But we need volunteers at PetSmart Summerville. We are not affiliated with PetSmart, but they support our adoption efforts by allowing us to showcase our babies at their adoption centers inside their stores. We need YOU to help out with showing the cats to prospective adoptees, and to clean cages and feed them. We also need volunteers to spend time with them in order to socialize them. If this is something you are interested in doing, please contact me, or find us on Facebook. Our website is FelineFreedom dot org. We are a non profit organization. We can also help you complete your community service hours. Please join us at www.Facebook.com/FelineFreedomCoalition

We work closely with all local shelters, and pull socialble cats and kittens from Charleston Animal Society, Doc Williams SPCA, Francis R. Willis SPCA and other shelters to save them from certain death. After they are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vacinated, etc, and graduate from our Last Chance Kitty Charm School, they are taken to PetSmart where they are ready to find their furrever home!

But we need your help to continue our work. This is a great opportunity for a stay at home mom; you can bring your small child with you to help!

About Feline Freedom Coalition

Location:

901 Red Coat Run, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464, US

Mission Statement

Our mission is to control the population of free-roaming cats in Charleston County through community action and legislative change, TNR programs, educating the public, facilitating caretakers and socializing kittens.

Description

The Feline Freedom Coalition is a non-profit organization that provides services and support to individuals and community groups interested in using TNR (trap, neuter, return or re-home) to effectively control the overpopulation of free roaming cats in Charleston County. Our services include

  • education and information of the public, property decision makers and governmental agencies through our TNR Community Hotline, website, TNR training programs and central, statistical database regarding the state of free roaming cats,
  • facilitating the work of caretakers involved in colony management by providing a communication network and support resources and
  • the adoption of socialized feral cats and kittens through Petsmart's Adoption Outreach Program.

The Feline Freedom Coalition, the only no-cage, adoption and medical treatment facility for feral cats in South Carolina, is hoping to receive 4,000 cans of donated wet food by New Year’s Eve to feed the 200 feral cats that we care for daily on our 20 acre sanctuary in Ravenel.

Of the 3000 cats we have trapped, neutered and returned in Charleston County during the past fifteen years, these are the lucky ones! They could not be returned to their colonies due to habitat destruction, physical danger or overall fragility. Also a very small percentage of kittens do not socialize to be adopted at one of the three Petsmarts where FFC has found homes for 300 to 400 kittens and adult cats yearly since 2009.
