Uhuru Furniture & Collectibles is an economic development institution for the programs of the African People's Education and Defense Fund, and we need your help!

We need your help letting as many potential customers as possible know that they can support our amazing mission and programs!

The mission of APEDF's programs is to end the disparities faced by the African community in education, health and economic development.

The more successful Uhuru Furniture & Collectibles is, the more resources can benefit these important programs!

If you live in the US we are looking for two volunteers who can do a 1-2 hour shift each week, to post inventory to our Offer Up account. These volunteer can do the work from home.

Access to a mobile device (smartphone or tablet), internet and having downloaded the OfferUp app is required. Knowledge of copying and pasting information and a critical eye for detail and making sure every post is done correctly is important!

The African People's Education and Defense Fund strives to develop and institutionalize programs to defend the human and civil rights of the African community and to address the grave disparities in education, health, healthcare and economic development of the African community.

Description

Uhuru Furniture and Collectibles is a non-profit store that is a fundraiser for black community empowerment programs of APEDF. We receive a truck load of donated furniture and household items every day. This is a lively, popular Grand Lake area store staffed mostly by volunteers. When you volunteer at Uhuru Furniture, you not only contribute to the success of the store, you become part of a larger movement for peace through social justice. People shop at Uhuru Furniture for low priced, top quality items and to support crucial programs for social justice for African people.
