Show your patriotic spirit by cleaning up the morning after the big day! Register below to help remove firework debris from Lake Union and its surrounding areas on Sunday, July 5th.
On the day following the Gasworks July 4th Fireworks Show, Puget Soundkeeper Alliance and partners will lead a kayak cleanup of Lake Union, as well as coordinate neighborhood walking cleanups in Wallingford, Eastlake and South Lake Union. Firework debris, sparklers, beer cans, lawn chairs, flip-flops and other party causalities will be collected, weighed and picked up by Seattle Public Utilities before they have a chance to pollute our waterways.
As we all know, summer in Seattle officially begins on July 5th, so we expect sunshine!

Description
Puget Soundkeeper Alliance (PSA) is a small non-profit dedicated to protecting and enhancing the waters of Puget Sound. Founded in 1984, PSA is the Sound's oldest marine conservation organization and the ONLY organization/agency (governmental or private) routinely on the water patrolling for illegal discharges of pollutants. The Soundkeeper is PSA's on-the-water advocate, helping to enforce compliance with water quality laws through regular patrols and responses to tips from our pollution hotline (1-800-42PUGET). PSA also forms partnerships with industries and trade associations to help businesses reduce pollution and comply with water quality regulations. Puget Soundkeeper Alliance is a member of the international Waterkeeper Alliance.
