IRCO

IRCO is seeking interns to aid staff at its four-week summer schools for 4th through 8th grade refugee and immigrant students.

Interns will assist with academic classes and tutoring sessions; program planning and implementation; meal disbursement; recreational activities, sports, and games; and chaperoning field trips.

IRCO summer school runs Monday through Thursday, from 9 am to 2 pm, for four weeks in July. Interested interns may participate in lesson planning, teacher training, and program set up and break down.

Successful interns are interested in working with refugee and immigrant youth; are open to other cultures and languages; are able to work alone and be flexible; and demonstrate responsibility, punctuality, enthusiasm, and a good sense of humor.

Foreign language ability is a plus, as is ELL, ESL, and/or math tutoring or teaching experience.
