The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is in major need of volunteer for an event that we have coming up in Irving on June 6th and 7th. We only expect our volunteers to help out for 1 day, so if we could get 30 volunteers to come help out on Sunday June 7th, that would be great!
This event is called the Playtri Festival, it is a race event that will be a lot of fun.
When: Sunday June 7th
Where: Marriott Las Colinas (223 West Las Colinas Blvd, Irving TX 75039)
Volunteer shift time: 6:00am - 12:00pm
volunteer attire: volunteers should wear comfortable clothing and shoes, and be prepared for any weather
volunteer duties: race preparation duties, and guiding the participants through the course and event

The mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. We work tirelessly to find cures and ensure patients can access the lifesaving treatments they need. When someone experiences the fear and uncertainty of a blood cancer diagnosis, we provide hope, compassion, education and support. Our impact is felt beyond blood cancer. In 2017, LLS volunteers made a significant impact while selflessly dedicating their time and talent to achieve our mission. With countless ways to engage, from fundraising to providing patient support, our volunteers are changing the landscape of cancer.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Oklahoma Chapter serves residents who have been touched by one of the blood cancers: leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
