Description

Share your skills or talent with the Girl Scouts! We know you are busy, so we will work with you to find a volunteer opportunity that fits your interests, your skills, your service learning requirements, and your busy schedule. So you can help once at an event, you can volunteer on a regular basis, or anything in between!

Here are some examples of ways you volunteer:

Like working with kids? Volunteers are needed for After School Programs- Needed to assist our staff with after school and community center activities. The staff creates and prepares the activities; you just show up and assist as needed. Activities last from 1-3 hours, and can be day time, evenings, or weekends.

Troops often have the need for any of the following: general assistance with activities or events, special guest speakers, or leading activities, being a leader or even a co-leader.

Do you have an interest or skills in outdoor recreation? Science? Math? Engineering? Arts and Crafts? Music? Photography? These are just some of the areas volunteers are needed- you could help us plan events or help us carry them out.

Rather NOT work with kids? We are always in need of support in our Office. You could assist our staff with planning and execution of programs or events in any of our Service Areas. Or help us with general office work.

Are you bi-lingual? We are always in search of bi-lingual volunteers to work with our staff in schools, Community Centers, and at events for recruitment of girls and adults. Events can be 1-3 hours and will be help at different locations throughout the year.

Does one or more of these pathways interest you? Do you have another interest in a particular area? Contact me today and we will get started.
