The Community Education & Outreach Intern at Planned Parenthood will provide assistance to the Education & Outreach Manager in carrying out presentations and outreach throughout the Twin Cities area. Typical duties will include: presentation and tabling planning, observation of and potentially providing presentations, and representing Planned Parenthood at health fairs and community events, The intern will also be responsible for administrative tasks including, but not limited to: database entry and various preparations of educational activities. Qualifications include basic knowledge of sexual and reproductive health issues and/or other teen health concerns, experience with public speaking and/or group facilitation, an ability to relate to teenagers, availability to travel within the metro area, and able to provide own reliable transportation. 10 hours/week, must be able to commit to September-May.
