Butterfly Pavilion is seeking a creative, highly motivated and energetic individual to assist in implementing youth education programs as part of a team of talented and experienced staff and volunteers. This is a great opportunity for those seeking hands-on experience in environmental education, classroom science education, biology and interpretation.
- Instruct interactive, creative, age-appropriate onsite science classes for school groups
- Provide instructional support for out of school camps and classes
- Collaborate with Education Department to develop, enhance and implement curricula or programs
- Provide administrative support to Education Department
- Be trained in exhibit interpretation to provide interpretive support in exhibits
- Facilitating play-based learning and providing educational information to visitors of all ages.
- Assisting in daily public programming.
- Collaborating with Education and Exhibits Department to develop and implement new curricula or programs.
- 1-3 days per week, 16-24 hours per week

Butterfly Pavilion is the first stand-alone, Association of Zoos and Aquariums-accredited non-profit invertebrate zoo in the world and a leader in invertebrate knowledge, inspiration and connection. Whether it is providing unique, hands-on learning experiences in our exhibits and educational programs, conducting new research that sets the standard for zoos across the country or building innovative solutions for species and habitat conservation in countries around the world, Butterfly Pavilion is leading the way in ensuring invertebrates are protected for the future.
