Stories from the Stage

Hello WGBH Volunteers,

WGBH is looking for volunteers to help out at the upcoming Worcester Polytech Institute event, TouchTomorrow: A Festival of Science, Technology & Robots!

Touch Tomorrow at WPI, featuring the NASA Sample Return Robot Centennial Challenge, is an unprecedented educational and interactive event for New England, attracting 7,000+ people in 2013, another great crowd in 2014, and we anticipate even bigger crowds on June 13, 2015. WGBH Education is a Media Partner and will bring Quack and Curious George (for the littles), Design Squad (for middle school-aged children) and NOVA Education (for high schoolers).

Volunteer positions include Activity Table Volunteer (10am-1pm, 11am-2pm, or 1-4pm shifts), Costume Wearer (10am-4pm shift) and Character Handler (10am-4pm shift) ** Quack and Curious George volunteer candidates should be between 5’1"-5’7 and of average build. Character and Handler will be on-stage for 30 minutes followed by a 30-minute break backstage throughout the 10am-4pm shift.

Please email WGBH Volunteer Manager Jaime Reese at jaime_reese@wgbh.org if you are interested, and include your full name and preferred position/shift.

Thank you!
