PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Assist the Red Cross in delivering its mission of alleviating human suffering caused by disasters as a member of the Disaster Action Team. Meet the immediate needs of disaster clients such as food, clothing, shelter and other services which may be needed.
OPEN TIME DAYS
Actively sign up for on-call shifts each month. ⦆Choose your availability, three shifts per month minimum.
Training is free. ⦆Minimum training includes General Volunteer Orientation, Disaster Cycle Services: An Overview, Disaster Action Team Fundamentals and FEMA IS-100.b, Introduction to Incident Command System. ⦆
