Executive Administrative Assistant
Reports to: Gifts of Cheer’s Executive Director & President
Job Description: Applicant must be able to work as a confidante and office assistant to the Gifts of Cheer’s Executive Director & President. This person shall be responsible for managing and assisting the Executive Director with regular and new unexpected tasks, duties, reporting, and projects. Applicant must be able to communicate and work well with others, as well as work independently on a large variety of tasks. Discretion, good judgment, organizational or management ability, initiative, and the ability to work independently are important for this position.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Type various documents and electronic information.
- Manage, organize, and update databases, spreadsheets, and monthly reports.
- Communicate and provide information to internal and external clientele.
- Assist, create & maintain report including statistical data to identify trend analysis.
- Interpret instructions and challenges to implement procedures consistent with organization SOPs.
- Research, investigate, and compile information for others to make strategic business making decisions.
- Arrange and assist in meetings, conferences, and/or other team projects/activities/committees.
- Answer phones, take messages, answer emails, and send memos or other types of correspondence for the Executive Director.
Educational Requirements: Current students and/or previous high school/college graduates welcome to apply.
Other Requirements: Applicant must spend between 10 - 15 hours per week, being present at least 2 days each week at Gifts of Cheer’s Main Office. Flexible scheduling available. Applicants must have their own reliable computer and/or other device to check email and other correspondence. Individual must be adaptable and versatile to changing needs. Individual must have prior typing proficiency and have excellent spelling, punctuation, and grammar. Excellent interpersonal skills must demonstrate a high level of professionalism. Reliable transportation required. Signed waivers and specific work agreements required prior to assuming this position. Background check required.

Gifts of Cheer's Mission is to spread cheer to kids with cancer and people of all ages living with debilitating illness and/or disease, while inspiring today’s youth to do the same.
Description
Gifts of Cheer is an ALL VOLUNTEER 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization. We give gifts, cards, prayers and other support services to kids with cancer as well as to people of all ages living with debilitating conditions.
Founded by an 8 year old who wanted to see kids with cancer light up upon receiving an unexpected gift, young Sierra was able to GIVE BIG with the help of other kids and grownups alike.
Our "Gifts of Cheer" vary from a simple card or the saying of daily prayers to large gift distributions consisting of several thousand gifts.
We have collectively given more than 20,000 gifts items! Donations have been distributed to numerous specialized pediatric care facilities, hospitals, nursing homes and to many individuals and their families all across the United States.
