It's harvest season at Sharing the Harvest Community Farm and almost every day we have 1,000 or more pounds of vegetables that need to be picked. We need a LOT of help to get all this done and any extra hands are greatly appreciated!! All produce is donated locally on the South Coast to hunger relief efforts.
Open volunteer hours are:
Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday from 9-12 and 2-5
Thursdays* from 5pm-7:30pm
Saturdays from 9-12
ALL TIMES NEEDED - Please get in touch with us if you'd like more information or drop by during the times above! We welcome all volunteers, whether you'd like to stop in one time only and spend a few hours, or come back on a regular basis and take on leadership roles.
Any age welcome!! Under 16 needs to be accompanied by an adult, but kids are great helpers and we love having them out to volunteer.

Description
Sharing the Harvest is a volunteer-driven community farm established in 2006 as a grassroots effort to fight hunger and help feed our neighbors in need. Thanks to the help of the Hunger Commission, donors and thousands of volunteers, we donate 100% of our produce and cage-free eggs to local hunger relief programs in New Bedford, Fall River and Wareham.
In the past eleven seasons, 20,749 volunteers have worked over 51,431 hours to plant, harvest and donate 453,570 pounds of food. That equals 2,845,975 servings of fresh food to our neighbors inneed!
Sharing the Harvest also provides hands-on educational opportunities for volunteers to confront the reality of hunger in our community. Our fields serve as an outdoor classroom for learners of all ages. We are proud to offer free service learning field trips.
