The National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library is seeking a graphic design intern to assist the Marketing & Communications Department with ongoing campaigns. Campaigns include the promotion of museum exhibits, programs, events, and store sales. The intern will report to the Director of Marketing & Communications and will work with other members of the NCSML staff as assigned.
Duration: Fall/Winter 2015
Hours: 10-20 hours per week. Typically 2 to 3 days per week. Schedule is flexible and negotiable.
Compensation: Internship position is not compensated. Intern may be eligible for college credit (dependent on intern’s college).
Duties and Responsibilities: Design clear engaging graphic communications for print and web. This will include logos, direct mail pieces, branded promotional items, web site and social media graphics, posters, flyers, and other marketing materials as needed.
Qualifications:
- Be proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, & Photoshop
- Having a computer and access to graphic design and layout software is preferred but not required
- Must be extremely organized and detail oriented
- Must have excellent time management skills
- Must have ability to work independently as well as in partnership with team
- Must be able to define and work to deadlines
