We are looking for men and women with some nonprofit leadership experience to assist nonprofit organizations with planning and decision making. The Executive Service Corps is the volunteer arm of the Bayer Center for Nonprofit Management at Robert Morris University. Our volunteers (40+) are highly skilled professionals or retired individuals who are vetted, trained and become a part of a team dedicated to assisting smaller nonprofit organizations in achieving their missions.

We require significant experience in your field-- which generally means about 15 years of experience (not new graduates!). We will provide additional training in board leadership, the differences between for-profit and nonprofit management, consulting skills, and general nonprofit management. Prior nonprofit experience is also required - as a volunteer with a significant role, a board member, or prior employment.

Assignments are given in teams and range from short 2 hour one on one meetings, to facilitating a strategic planning process. Expect to volunteer 5-20 hours a month, but this varies based on need and your schedule, & the location of the nonprofit. You will be asked to fill out a survey of your skills, experience, and availability; and then attend an info session and orientation.

You will be proud to be a part of this elite corps dedicated to improving the whole region!
