Help cheer on the 2,500+ participants who are helping to raise money for Cosley Zoo during the 2015 annual Cosley Zoo Run for the Animals 5K/10K & Zippity Zoo 1/2-Mile Run. We need assistance on the course helping people with directions, registration/packet pick-up, breakfast service, and more! All volunteers receive a t-shirt to wear on race day as well as a voucher for breakfast. Event is held rain or shine. Please come dressed for the outdoor weather.

Mission Statement
The Wheaton Park District was incorporated in 1921. Today, the mission statement of the Wheaton Park District is
"to enrich the quality of community life through a diversity of healthy leisure pursuits and heightened appreciation for
our natural world." Facilities and parks operated by the district in meeting the objectives of this mission statement include:

• Clocktower Commons - Mini Golf and Skate Park
• Community Center
• Cosley Zoo
• Du Page County Historical Museum
• Lincoln Marsh Natural Area and Teams Course
• Memorial Leisure Center
• Northside Family Aquatic Center

• 52 park sites, totaling more than 800 acres

Description
There are many special events, programs, and activities that volunteers can assist with throughout the Wheaton Park District. Throughout the year, through its offerings, the Wheaton Park District serves nearly one million people.
The Wheaton Park District is also heavily involved with the coordination of fundraising activities at Cosley Foundation and the DuPage County Historical Museum Foundation. Each foundation coordinates quarterly fundraiser events that rely on the assistance of many volunteers.
