2015 Unified Soccer Championship - Special Olympics PA-Philadelphia will be hosting it’s 3rd Annual Unified Soccer Championship Games on Friday, May 29th at Northeast High School, Main (Football) Field, Cottman and Glendale Avenues, Philadelphia, PA . The Championships will be held during the day from 7:00 am-2:00pm . Athletes and Partners (students with and without intellectual disabilities) from across the Philadelphia School District will be competing in the sport of unified soccer where they play together on the same field. We are looking for 100-150 volunteers to help with set-up, ceremonies, awards, scorekeeping, timekeeping and cheering on these wonderful athletes and partners. Here is a brief description of volunteer roles available:

  • Set-Up 7:00am - 10:00am
  • Athlete & Volunteer Registration 8:00am - 10:00am
  • Awards assistance (10:30am-1:30pm)
  • Ceremonies/Parade (8:00am-10:30pm)
  • Competition Support (9:00am - 1:30pm)
  • Olympic Town (9:00am - 1:30pm)
  • Clean-Up assistance (1:30pm - 3:00pm)
  • Volunteer to Cheer (anytime between 9:00am - 1:30pm)

Children and adults with developmental dissabilities train and compete in 20 different sports depending on season. Special Olympics athletes never pay a fee to train or compete. Special Olympics is a volunteer based organization.
