Sculpture Walk Peoria Docent Training

Docent led tours will take place on Saturday mornings during the summer and early fall - there will be two tours; 10:00 and noon. Each tour will last approximately 1.5 hours. The total walking distance for the tour is roughly .75 miles roundtrip, down and back up Washington Street. Docents will discuss 15 sculptures on this walking tour. Docent tours will meet and end at Peoria Riverfront Museum and the first sculpture is located directly across the street at the corner of Washington and Liberty in front of the Maxam building. The tour will cross Washington Street at State Street walking back up Washington Street, with the tour ending shortly before Liberty Street.

Training materials will be provided. Training will be in Peoria Riverfront Museum's Boardroom.

The first training is Tuesday, May 26 at 5:30 or Tuesday, June 2 at 5:30. Please RSVP to the Volunteer Coordinator no later than Thursday, 5/21. If you are interested in being trained as a docent for Sculpture Walk Peoria but cannot make it to either training session please email the Volunteer Coordinator to see if an alternative time can be worked out.
