We are currently looking for a veteran volunteer for our Veterans Caring for Veterans program at Gentiva Hospice. A volunteer is specifically needed to visit a hospice patient residing in their own home located in the Kirkwood area (St. Louis, MO 63122). Military Experience and Veteran status is preferred for this volunteer position.
There are many ways you can help as a Veteran Hospice Volunteer, including: Participating in veteran recognition ceremonies; Providing companionship and socialization through reminiscing with patients; Serving as a Veteran Consultant/ Military Expertise Volunteer on issues and projects concerning the military and Assist with organizing medals, citations, awards, pictures, paperwork, etc.. Comprehensive training and orientation for hospice volunteering is provided.
