What is Rent Relief?
Twice a year, Sunday Friends makes it possible for Sunday Friends' families to redeem their hard-earned tickets for housing. Each family must:
- Save tickets - approximately one months' worth of earnings - in preparation to apply.
- Fill out an application specifying landlord information.
- Write two full-page essays on topics that differ each cycle.
All of the above steps must be completed accurately, thoughtfully and turned in on time. Sunday Friends then sends a check to the landlord and provides a check copy as proof to the family.
