Help us refurbish old used fishing rods and get the ready to be given away to kids and young adults this summer!
Fishing for Life collects used fishing poles from across the country through its "Reel Em In Kids" program. Volunteers refurbish them by taking them apart, cleaning and repairing them, equipping them iwth new reels and fishing line, and testing them out. We will also clean and pack tackle boxes at this event.
Throughout the summer, we will give away this recycled fishing equipment to groups that serve kids in need, so the rods and reels can be shared with kids who don't have their own.
Volunteers can come for all or part of the day. No special skills are needed - all training will be provided. There will be a BBQ lunch from 12-1 for volunteers.
