Chicago area and neighboring suburbs: Open your Home and Heart to an Exchange Student!

ASSE International Student Exchange Program is looking for local families to host a student between the ages of 15-18 from a variety of countries. ASSE has some fantastic students eagerly waiting to come to the U.S. and would love a Chicago family to host them. Students live with a volunteer host family for 5 or 10 months while attending high school.

ASSE students are enthusiastic and excited to experience American culture. They also love to share their own culture and language with their host families. The relationship you form with your student will create a life-long friendship and cultivate a rich cultural experience.

All students bring their own spending money and are fully insured, so the investment for host families is minimal. Families with or without children or responsible single adults can become host families. They provide a individual bed and meals to their host child; in return gaining a cross-cultural experience and lasting gratitude of a young person and their family from overseas.

ASSE students are selected based on academic and personality, and host families can choose their student from a wide variety of backgrounds, countries, and interests.
