Working with children at a 5-day reading camp. Camp is set up to deliver 15 hours of intensive reading instruction in the mornings and fun camp activities in the afternoon. Volunteers needed include teacher aids, camp counselors, kitchen workers,food servers reading mentors, adult chaperones. These volunteers work flexible hours
Teenagers get community service points. Must be at least sixteen years of age to be camp counselor. Everyone 18 years or age and up must undergo background check and take a short on-line course in Safeguarding Children. Sunday afternoon July 24 will be training and set up. Friday July 29 we will be leaving at 11:30 to go on a field trip.

Reading Camp provides 3 through 5 graders who are reading below grade level non-traditional educational opportunities that build confidence and empower them to achieve academic success.
Description
Gulf Breeze Reading Camp is five days of discovering that reading can be fun. We plan fifteen hours of intensive reading instruction, and afternoons will be full of fun activities including science, games. special guests, music, dancing and art. We will be reading stories about our local area and writing in our journals every day. We will provide breakfast, lunch and two snacks per day. Camp is located at St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church adjacent to Andrews Institute in Gulf Breeze, Florida
