YWCA Ready to Learn-Summer Program
ORGANIZATION: YWCA Mankato
Please visit the new page to apply.
Ready to Learn is an early childhood in-home visiting program during which trained volunteers work with immigrant/refugee families to engage their children in developmental activities.
The program provides the skills needed to prepare children for kindergarten, from birth, while instilling the value of a pre-k education. Ready to Learn also provides families with educational tools,English skills, and connects them to community resources to ensure academic success.
During the summer months we take the program outside to the park. We invite all of our families' children to engage in group based learning. We have 5 groups: Parent circle, 1yr-2yr, 3yr-5yr, elementary grades K-3 & elementary grades 4-6.
Programming will take place on Mondays from 1pm-3pm in Sibley Park.
