Mission Statement

(a) Promote mutual understanding, cooperation, and involvement of the community, as determined to be in the best interests of youth receiving services from the Texas Juvenile Justice Department;

(b) To create additional resources to enhance the care, treatment and rehabilitation of youth; and

(c) Promote volunteer involvement and fun-raising for local needs and programs.

Description

The Corpus Christi Community Resource Council for Texas Youth (CCCRC) is a non-profit organization is affiliated with York half-way House. York House is a Texas Juvenile Justice facility located at 422 Enterprize Blvd. for juvenile offenders who are transitioning back into the community. The (CCCRC) is established and dedicated for the sole benefit of the youth residing at York House. The Council acts as a liaison between the treatment center and the community in promoting mutual understanding, cooperation, and improvement.

The Council also raises funds to benefit the youth. The State of Texas provides shelter, food, clothing, counseling, and education for the children. The Council provides items and services the state simply cannot. Some examples include: Christmas gifts and parties for the youth; Incentive Dinners (special dinners provided for youth who have shown progress in the program); Graduation gifts; Travel funds for family members who need assistance to visit their child; Birthday cakes and small gifts for each youth; and Special projects.

The Volunteer Council is a non-profit, charitable agency affiliated with the Texas Juvenile Justice Department and State Volunteer Resource Council for Texas Youth. No goods or services will be exchanged for this donation. The tax exempt ID# is 74-2391045.
