Easter Seals Florida is looking for detail-oriented volunteers to aid teachers with conducting classes for adults with disabilities. Classes are taught on topics such as; professional life, daily living skills, and personal, social, computer, literacy and pre-employment skills. The volunteer must be able to maintain a high level of care for our consumers.

Volunteer responsbilities include:
-Creating classroom materials to present that help build life, personal/social, functional academics or pre-employment skills
-Acquiring references for consumers
-Building portfolio with consumers
-Providing assistance to teachers in the classroom as needed

These duties are subject to change throughout the course of the volunteering period and can extend over three month term. This volunteerism can provide school credit and community hours. Any additional skills can be learned through Easter Seals’ staff training.

Flexible Volunteer Shifts:
Monday- Friday
Between 8:30 - 11:30am and/or 12:30 - 2:30pm

Skills Required:
-Strong communication skills
-Good organizational skills and proficiency in writing and grammar
-Patience
-Enthusiasm and positive attitude
