Please help us celebrate World Refugee Day on June 6th! This day was established by the United Nations and is observed globally to celebrate the cultures, history and community contributions of refugees in cities around the world. The United States settles more refugees than any other country. Here in Kansas City; most of those settled are refugees from Burma, Iraq, or Nepali refugees from Bhutan. We will celebrate with food, carnival games and entertainment. We need volunteers to serve food and help run carnival games. Come join us!

Founded in 1956, Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas is a ministry of the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas. Our purpose is to animate the Gospel of Jesus Christ by putting love into action through specialized programs and services for those in need. Staff and volunteers embrace the broadest definition of "who is our neighbor," serving not only the Catholic community but all faiths across 21 counties in Northeast Kansas.
