This is a really great opportunity for anyone passionate about human rights and helping individuals with developmental disabilities.
Aspire Living is in search of 1 or 2 volunteers to becoming a member of our Human Rights Committee. There would be a one hour training that members would go through, monthly emails for immediate approval of a rights restriction, psychotropic or analgesic medication, quarterly email review of presentation materials and attendance required at a two hour meeting that is held once a quarter. At least 1 year of commitment would be appreciated but participation/membership can continue beyond that.
Volunteers must be unassociated with the agency (i.e. not a former employee, person receiving services, guardian of person formerly served, vendors providing products or services, staff from other providers or programs).
If this sounds like the opportunity you are looking for, email today!
Who We Are: Aspire is recognized as a leader in providing bold, pioneering and uncompromising services to kids and adults with developmental disabilities, their families and the Chicagoland community through four enterprises: Aspire Kids, Aspire Living, Aspire Careers and Aspire CoffeeWorks.
