Mission Graduates is seeking a volunteer to support our social media and communications for our afterschool Extended Day Program (EDP). Our EDP focuses on positive youth development outcomes and helping needy children academically excel. The EDP serves 1,600 children across six sites, spanning K-5th grades.

The volunteer would be responsible for creating a communications calendar for the entire program and documenting the exciting activities and programming for the children. The volunteer will also be creating content for the Mission Graduates website and Facebook pages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a Communications Messaging Calendar
  • Manage Mission Graduates and our three school's Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. accounts
  • Support programs in writing and posting a blog post and a monthly newsletter article
  • Photographing program events to be used on social media.

Required Skills: This position requires strong communication skills, experience with social media and the ability to work independently.

Skills that the Volunteer will build: This position will give the chance to build communication skills, as well as better understand social media and its importance to non-profit work.
