Heroes in Action (HIA) is seeking a high level volunteer to serve as our Operations Manager working directly with the organization Board of Directors. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a team to ensure all deadlines, deliverables, and results are met successfully on projects across the organization. The Operations Manager will embrace the value of helping police officers, firefighters and military veterans by development of Heroes in Action strategic goals and overseeing Operations. We are seeking an experienced professional to work closely with the Board of Directors to manage priorities and deadlines across the organization. This may entail dipping in to manage a specific program as needed, or staff development. Our ideal candidate has significant management background and is ready to give back to an up incoming, nonprofit. Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Work closely with the Board of Directors to achieve organizational goals and metrics
2. Oversee the successful operations of Heroes in Action programs
3. Ensure that operational procedures are followed
4. Drafts letters, emails, reports for Board of Directors

4. Strong knowledge of MS Office products, Google Drive
5. Attention to Detail and Commitment to Excellence

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
College Degree or Police/Fire/Military Background
Ten years of management experience

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:
Volunteer: 15-20 hours per week. Most of the work can be done remotely. As this is a leadership position, a memorandum of understanding shall be executed.
