The American Diabetes Association is looking for over 350 volunteers for the Saratoga Springs Tour de Cure event! One of the reasons the Tour de Cure has grown is our volunteers. Riders continually thank us for having such wonderful volunteers who keep them motivated. Every volunteer position is very important to the success of the day.
We are expecting close to 2,800 riders this year. We have a number of available positions from lunch prep to registration, cheering to unloading boxes, manning tents to blowing up balloons. We have needs for specialized volunteers as well, such as those handy folks who can help hang signs & banners, those who can help direct riders by being Route Flaggers and more. And kids are welcome, too! We need t-shirt runners and cheerleaders.
All volunteers will receive a volunteer t-shirt, breakfast and lunch. You will also be invited to the Volunteer Rally in May. Most important, you will also have the satisfaction of supporting the American Diabetes Association and the almost 30 million Americans living with diabetes.
You can sign-up online today at diabetes.org/saratogavolunteerform. New this year is our Volunteer Handbook Guide with all the job descriptions and details that you can view, print and share at www.diabetes.org/saratogavolunteer.
It is because of you that our local office of 4 staff people turns into an army of hundreds. Thank you for your help and support of the American Diabetes Association. You help us continue our mission: To prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
If you have any questions you can our office and speak with Justine Carroll at 518-218-1755 x3632.
