20th Annual Garden Tour - May 29 & 30 Immerse yourself in gorgeous gardens in springtime bloom. The 20th annual Garden Tour offers a self-guided tour through acres of blossoms throughout Salem. This self-guided tour will offer you a delightful peek at some creative local gardens. Located throughout South Salem, these six gardens showcase years of care and gardener’s pride. All proceeds from the Garden Tour will go towards creating a new nature playscape for kids at the Gilbert House Children’s Museum!

Tickets will be available for purchase at the museum and Roth’s Fresh Markets starting May 1st. Tickets include a program with a detailed map to the gardens and garden descriptions. The Garden Tour will go from 10 am to 4 pm Friday, May 29 and Saturday, May 30. Adults: $20

Volunteers are required to volunteer for at least three hours & as a Garden Tour volunteer you will receive 1 free pass.

Description

Gilbert House Children's Museum is a private nonprofit children’s museum located in downtown Salem’s Riverfront Park. Founded in 1989, Gilbert House Children's Museum provides innovative and stimulating educational experiences which spark children’s natural curiosity. The museum's mission is to "inspire children to learn through creative play." This is accomplished through fun and challenging exhibits, camps, birthday parties, membership opportunities and outreach programs in the sciences, arts, and humanities. The museum is composed of three historic houses; the Rockenfield House, Gilbert House and Parrish House.
