Look Good...Feel Better (LGFB) is a free program, designed to help female cancer patients learn how to cope with the appearance-related side effects of chemotherapy and radiation therapy treatments. Volunteers teach participants useful techniques to help restore their appearance and self-esteem through the use of make-up, wigs, scarves and other accessories. LGFB is currently offered in hospitals and oncology facilities. Each location hosts the program once a month. Classes are given by volunteer cosmetologists and estheticians. We are looking for estheticians, cosmetologists and hair stylists who are licensed in the state of Idaho to conduct a new session in Fruitland. We require volunteers to conduct a minimum of four classes per year. Volunteers must attend a 2-hour LGFB Training at the American Cancer Society office to learn about all aspects of the program. Look Good...Feel Better is a product-neutral program. This is a very rewarding position, and due to its level of dedication, we ask for at least a one-year commitment.
