The Board of Nova Initio Foundation is searching for a Social Media Volunteer who has an affinity for the creative arts. Our foundation is dedicated to identifying emerging artists across all disciplines: visual, theater, dance, and writing.
The position is open to an effective communicator and storyteller who is a creative and strategic thinker. You have the ability to interact with the board, volunteers, and clients in a professional manner and can meet deadlines in a timely manner.
Core responsibilites of the position include developing and managing the foundation's message, implementation and management of key social media platforms, and content management.
Skills:
Knowledge of Adobe CS graphic programs, ie Photoshop
Experience with online video and photography.
Take more videos and initiate use of videos on multiple platforms.
Consult with organization leadership to craft social media messages.
Mastery of social media tools, outreach, content and marketing.
Proven success with creating, curating and managing multimedia content.
If you are interested in the arts and would love to apply your social media expertise to a non-profit we can grow together. A background or interest in fundraising would be a plus. Mission Statement
The Novia Initio Foundation will operate as an independent non profit organization dedicated to the identification of public awareness of creative work by rising adult artist-in-residence within the the State of New Jersey. By sponsoring artists who apply for grants and present their work to our independent panel we are advocating for growth and recognition of their talents.
The Foundation will seek to initiate, nurture and sustain partnerships with individuals and corporate patrons of the fine arts and the performance arts: The National Endowment for the Arts: and the New Jersey Council on the Arts. We are encouraging and reaching out to corporate sponsors, individuals and interested groups to support our endeavors and artists.
Description
The Foundation is seeking a volunteer pro bono accountant to serve as a temporary or long term Treasurer to provide accounting services and fulfill the fiscal responsibilities of the organization. Experience in the non profit arena and an interest in raising the profile of individuals and groups in the arts area would be welcome.
Specifically, the candidate's operational functions would include:
- Formalization and periodic updates to the business plan
-Management of receipts , deposits and withdrawals of Foundation's monies
- General accounting procedures includin maintenance of bank accounts and balance sheets.
- Year end and government mandated financial reports and audits
