Social Enterprise Model for Development and Jobs Creation

OIC International will launch Pangea Market initiative, a clothing donation and collection drive, which will allow for OIC International to secure steady stream of inventory to ship to sub-Saharan Africa. These donations will help to stock "store fronts" at each of the OIC affiliates and allow our staff to train and employ men and women in the supply-chain logistics for the shipment of clothing and then create opportunities for men and women to work as sales associates, tailors and seamstresses in the OIC International Pangea Market stores within the retail sector. In order to enhance our program offerings and reach a greater number of trainees, we are launching this major new initiative with the help of volunteers.

Organizational Use of Goods and Funds

The clothing collected and funding generated from this initiative will be used to meet the market demand for skilled labor in the retail sector. We will provide hands-on train in our own stores and place students into other retail sector demand driven jobs. We will reinvigorate our local affiliates by enhancing our curriculum and training materials, upgrading our equipment and machinery, and renovating and expanding training centers throughout our entire affiliate network.
