Calling all Volunteers! TXFEST, a new festival showcasing everything great in the Lone Star State, is scheduled for Saturday May 9, 2015. The Center for Hearing and Speech is one of the beneficiaries of the event and we need your help to ensure its success!
We are looking for energetic volunteers for 5 hours shifts to work the gates, VIP areas, beverage areas and activities. Please visit www.txfest.com/volunteers to learn more and sign up - make sure to put CHS in the Group Field so we earn credit for your participation . Volunteers will receive free entrance into the festival, a t-shirt, and snacks during shift. Support this fantastic new event in Houston!

The Center for Hearing and Speech enables hearing and speech impaired children and adults to realize full potential providing them with listening, speaking and literacy skills.
Description
The Center for Hearing and Speech (CHS) is the only full-service resource in Houston, and one of only three in Texas, that teaches children with mild to profound hearing loss to speak rather than use sign language.
CHS provides services for children from infancy to age 18, as well as for their parents, within three areas: the Melinda Webb School, the Audiology Clinic, and the Speech-Language Pathology Clinic. CHS's teachers, audiologists and speech pathologists use the latest technology and most up-to-date teaching techniques to help every child succeed and gain independence.
