ORGANIZATION: Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center of Sarasota, Inc.

Hospital Advocacy is available to recent sexual assault survivors when they go to hospital emergency rooms for treatment. SPARCC staff and trained volunteer advocates meet with survivors at the emergency room to offer support, discuss procedures, answer questions and advocate for the rights and well being of the survivor. Hospital advocates provide information about SPARCC and other community resources available to sexual assault survivors.

SPARCC services include: Emergency Shelter, 24-Hour Hotline, Crisis Counseling, Hospital Advocacy, Court Advocacy, Safety Planning, Case/Service Management, Information and Referral, Children's Services, Economic Empowerment, Community Education and Professional Training.
