We have been hard at work planning this year's conference - "Evolving Development: Navigating Disruptive Change" - and we're a little less than six weeks away. It takes many people to make an event like this go smoothly, and we're still looking for 15-20 volunteers to help us make this the best SID-Washington Annual Conference yet!
Volunteer duties can include (but aren't limited to): set-up the morning of the conference, helping with registration and check-in (both on Tuesday evening for pre-registration and on Wednesday), greeting and directing attendees, breakout session support, other program assistance, and tear-down at the end of the day. Each volunteer slot will probably be 3-5 hours long. As a thank-you for your hard work, you will be able to attend and enjoy the conference before or after your scheduled slot. Volunteers will also be asked to attend a short training session on the evening before the conference from 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM.
If you are interested in volunteering at this year's conference, please send an email indicating your interest with your resume attached to Kara Frazier at kfrazier@sidw.org. If you are limited to volunteering during a certain time in the day (i.e. morning vs. afternoon), please indicate that in your email as well.
Thank you for considering service as a volunteer at this year's conference. This event would not be possible without dedicated and willing individuals like you!
For more information about this event or if you have questions or concerns, please visit our website, email annualconference@sidw.org or call (202) 331- 1317.More opportunities with Society for International Development, Washington DC Chapter
