"Bridging Two Cultures"
The San Francisco - Ho Chi Minh City Sister City Committee in conjunction with the Mayor’s Office of International Trade and Commerce will recognize and present awards to individuals and organizations that have contributed to the improvement of the Vietnamese American and the Vietnamese communities, enabled the Committee to effectively carry out its mission, as well as aided in the preservation of Vietnamese art and culture.
Proceeds from this year’s event will go toward the support of the committee’s programs educational, healthcare, cultural, biotechnology, trade and other programs.

Mission Statement
The Committee is dedicated to the improvement of relations between the people of the United States and Vietnam, and more specifically the people of San Francisco and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Description
An array of business and educational exchange programs is the primary method by which this goal is achieved. The Committee also arranges for delegations to travel to Vietnam so that Americans can become more acquainted with the country. Our programs involve trade and commerce, education, healthcare, transportation, bio-technology, art and culture and othe areas of concern.
