Need volunteers to help set-up event, run booths, water stations, cheer stations, and tear-down event. Can be broken into shifts. Event is Take Steps Walk for Crohn's & Colitis benefitting the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America. Crohn's and colitis are digestive diseases that affect 1.6 million Americans and for which there is current no cure. The CCFA funds critical research, education, support services and promotes awareness.

To cure and prevent Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis through research, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these digestive diseases through education and support.

Description

The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation is committed to eradicating two life-changing and potentially life-threatening chronic digestive diseases. Collectively known as inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), these illnesses affect over 1.6 million Americans, including more than 125,000 people in the 7 counties our chapter serves. Throughout the year the Foundation hosts special events to fulfill its mission to find cures by funding cutting-edge biomedical research, and to provide support support groups, patient and professional educational programs, and a summer camp for our children with IBD.
