America for Animals is a new type of animal welfare organization - one that empowers advocates to promote compassion and fight cruelty in the communities where they live. We do this by developing state-of-the-art web and mobile applications that make it easy and fun to help animals. Our apps are designed to help people find humane places to eat, meet like-minded advocates, campaign to end inhumane practices, and take other simple actions that make the world kinder for our four-legged friends.

AFA is looking for a hard working volunteer to conduct internet research. This information will be used in the apps that we build and seen by all app users. More specifically, this position would build your experience...

* Conducting internet research. For example, finding all of the humane restaurants within a given city.

* Great communication skills. You will be working on drafting together outreach campaigns.

* Discovering new and better ways to find information. For example, how can we track the use of marine mammals across the country? Where can we find the most reliable data on animal welfare organizations?

* A technology background is not required. But the more proficient you are with research and databases, the better.

Requirements:
* A great attitude and a desire to help animals!
* A willingness to reply quickly to emails and work well with a team.
* 5 hours per week (more welcome!)
