HOOPS FOR HOMES
Free throw contest to benefit local families experiencing homelessness.
Family Promise of Harrisburg Capital Region (FPHCR) is organizing a free throw contest to benefit local families experiencing homelessness. The event will be held Saturday, May 16 th from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at the Cedar Cliff High School gym.
Prizes will be awarded to the contestant with the most baskets in each division. There will be 8 divisions: gentlemen 55+, men 18-54, high school boys, middle school boys, ladies 55+, women 18-54, high school girls, and middle school girls.
Not a baller? Not a problem! John Wooden once said, "Do not let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do." There are many ways to participate in this event either as a volunteer, a sponsor, a promoter, or as a contestant.
So, bring your A-game! Bring your friends and family. And bring some cash for the concession stand. There will be baked goods, beverages, and hot dogs for sale. All money raised will assist local families, right here in our community.
