Hand pull, collect, and prepare for disposal the invasive water chestnut plant that is choking the boat launch in Johnsonville, Rensselaer County. Bring your kayak or canoe and waders if you have them. This will be hard work but it will be fun. Lunch, refreshments and snacks included. Sponsored by the Rensselaer Land Trust. Description
The Rensselaer Land Trust is a not-for-profit land trust dedicated to the preservation of open space in Rensselaer County, especially land that acts as a buffer to sources of drinking water, areas that serve as natural habitat for wildlife, and land that has prime agricultural soils.
